Four Great Moments in Classical China: History & Philosophy Through Literature & Film
China is the only ancient civilization that has a continuous history up to this day, and is also the fastest-growing economy in today’s world. No one can afford to overlook China, and our understanding has to begin with its long history, rich philosophies and fascinating cultural icons.
Course Curriculum and Features
This course will use literature and film to highlight four of the most critical and transformative eras of China’s golden ages, giving you a powerful perspective for understanding this rich and complex civilization. Through four foundational historical moments, each represented by one familiar cultural personage, you’ll gain an understanding of China’s peoples, histories and ideas.
Those interested in a cross-disciplinary introduction to China.
